Hotel Gala, Playa de las Americas, Playa de las Americas
The Gala Hotel **** (Avda. Arquitecto Gómez Cuesta, 3 – Playa de las Americas, 38660 Arona, Tenerife –. Tel/Fax 922794055 034) was proposed by our travel agency by the Tour Operator Veratour (Veraoperator-00128 Roma S.p.A-Viale degli Eroi di Rodi .254-Tel. 06 500666 fax 06 50066431-www.veratour.it.) at a full price that, despite the crisis, has risen compared to last year to total € 900.00 per person, inclusive of full Board in double room, all-inclusive, for 7 nights, use of facilities (swimming pools, sauna, dancing and Theatre) direct flight Rome (Fiumicino)-Tenerife South and vice versa with Airbus321 of Meridiana and its transport from the airport to the Hotel and vice versa on the day of arrival and departure. The price then was permanently fixed at € 890.00 per person.
THE JOURNEY
On the morning of 24 October alzataccia to 3.45 for the rendez-vous with friends traveling with us (the same of last year) and transfer to Fiumicino (Rome) where 6 o'clock we had to pick up tickets at the Veratour and do the check-in at the box of Meridiana fly with its luggage boarding.
Passenger boarding was fixed at 7.35 to gate 26 and departure at 8.00.
We spent the time between 6.30 and boarding to have breakfast, buy some magazine and newspapers for the trip of about 4.30 hours.
Once loaded we took place on Airbus consisting of two rows of three seats each for a total of 150 seats, I believe. We've come to the height of the wing so we had a limited view of the panorama.
At 8.00 in the plane is taking off and after a few minutes of wait is Spanish for the destination party. Overall the trip was comfortable and quiet. During the flight the airline offered drinks and snacks to all passengers.
The pilot at 11.35 makes a perfect landing that unleashes an applause liberating passengers (takeoff and landing are the most dangerous moments of a air transfer) that after a short block on the track reaches its parking lot to which a bus welcomes passengers to lead them to the terminal.
At 12.00 after recovering the luggage we meet Patrick who by this time become our contact person for the vacancy in the representation of Veratour.
The air at the outlet from Terminal is hot, Speyer, a slight breeze that makes the climate pleasant and welcoming, there will be 29°. Patrick accompanies us at the gran turismo coaches that will lead us to the Hotel Gala
THE HOTEL GALA
After less than an hour we are at the Hotel Gala (photo No. 2) and we start at the front desk for check-in and delivery.
We are tired when you consider that I am almost spent 9 hours from awakening and that some begins to be felt peckish in our stomach, we take the electronic key and information about the operation and we start each towards their destination, giving appointment at 13.30 in the lobby.
Before we proceed further, however, I will describe to you the important things of this Hotel.
The Reception, open 24 hours on 24, shall take over the functions of the category, even mail service, taxi booking. The Hotel accepts all major credit cards.
It is available in the lounge, where a nice grand piano in the afternoon is used by a fairly good pianist to accompany tasting a good afternoon tea with some pastry, an internet-zone with 4 monitor and keyboard operations fee (€ 1 for 15 minutes.) or by using passwords with your personal computer, but do not remember the cost per day or per weekbecause I have not used.
There are also two billiard tables at 6 holes for matches to the American with 15 balls (numbered ones) these working with coins of € 1, table tennis, fields for pétanque.
There is a miniclub for children from 4 to 12 years with the assistance of specialized staff.
Number of rooms in 308 (2-3-4 beds) are distributed on 4 floors.
The services available to guests are two swimming pools, one heated, 2 bars, a pool, restaurant with buffet service and show, cokers TV lounge where I saw Italian Championship matches type Inter-Juve and Roma-Milan live, a beautiful dance floor with live music from 21.00 until 22.15 and show up to 23.00to continue till 24 again with live music.

THE ROOM
We take possession of the room which is pretty large (picture No. 3). Only thing not likeable, two beds next to each other, not read only.
A beautiful desk, a small sofa for two, a Chair, a fridge bar (€ 5 deposit for the key, which is returned upon departure), a television !!
